A Halloween PoemThe faint scrapping of crisp autumn leaves On the cool dark concrete beneath my feet Littered with wrappers once filled with sweets The air filled with the hums of "trick or treat"A Halloween Poem
The night is young, the moon is full Orange lamplight casts shadows to block out the fright Safe from the ghouls haunting the night They shine, lined up beacons, warm and so bright
Some houses stand tall with darkened windows Unwelcome glares with no candy to spare. Some children come calling out of spite, for a dare Begging the blasphemers with hidden bounties to share
